The Rossoneri dropped valuable points once again in their 1-1 draw against 18th placed Crotone. After a sluggish first half, Milan were able to grab a scrappy goal early in the second half to level the score.
Here’s how we graded Milan’s individual performance.
Donnarumma (7.0): The 18 year old made some crucial saves throughout the match to keep Milan in the game. Made a fantastic save on a Crotone free kick early and robbed Marcello Trotta to keep it 1-0 at a point in the match where Milan looked very vulnerable.
Calabria (6.0): The Italian U-21 international was solid overall defensively. Still quite raw going forward and does not contribute much down the right flank.
Zapata (5.5): The captain for the day, the Colombian continues to be inconsistent for his team. Was bullied in the area by Trotta which lead to Crotone grabbing the early lead. Improved throughout the much but hard to make a case for the Colombian when he continues to make crucial errors.
Paletta (6.5): Good performance from the ex Parma man. Steady defensively throughout and was credited with the tieing goal on a scramble in front of the net to tie the game.
Vangioni (6.0): The Argentine was not involved in the attack as much as usual but was better defensively today. Was substituted off late for Gomez due to an apparent injury.
Locatelli (5.5): The youngster continues to battle for the Rossoneri but made multiple errors this afternoon. Missed a few simple passes in the midfield.
Kucka (5.0): The Slovakian was rarely involved in the match. Although he did provide the assist on the goal with a header across the six yard box, Kucka wasn’t his normal self. Received a red card in the 95th minute making it his third red card on the season. His discipline must be questioned.
Mati Fernandez (6.0): Decent performance from the Chilean. Worked hard in midfield and made some promising movements going forward. However, needs to be much stronger on the ball
Suso (6.0): The ex Liverpool man has yet to rediscover his form from before his injury. Made some flashy moves on the right but failed to really deliver in the final third.
Lapadula (6.0): Given his second start in a row, Lapadula worked hard as always. Failed to really threaten the goal throughout the match but held up the ball well.
Deulofeu (6.0): The Spaniard looked dangerous as always on the left flank. Made some promising attacking moves but failed to stay on his feet and had two penalty claims waived away easily.
Ocampos (N/A): Subbed on for Mati Fernandez with 10 minutes remaining, was not on long enough to give a proper assessment.
Bacca (N/A): Inserted with five minutes remaining. Not on the pitch ling enough to assess.
Gomez (N/A): Was subbed on due to Vangioni injury late in stoppage time.
Milan head home to take on Roma on May 7th in the hopes of finding a much needed three points.
