AC Milan forward Jérémy Ménez, has revealed he almost joined Juventus after leaving Roma in 2011.
The 27-year-old told France Football: “When I left Rome I was a step away from Juventus. (Antonio) Conte spoke with me on the phone several times, but my heart has led me to my city and my club; it was a childhood dream to wear the PSG shirt. With Paris I won two league titles. I’m proud of my time there.”
Ménez however, did find appearances hard to come by in the French capital, with the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimović and Edinson Cavani starting up-front, and Lucas Moura and Ezequiel Lavezzi playing out-wide.
After three seasons, with 19 goals in 110 games, Ménez made the move back to Italy and has started strongly for new side AC Milan, netting three times in his opening two games.
