According to Sky, negotiations are ongoing between Milan and Boca Juniors for Rodrigo Bentancur but the official agreement hasn’t been found.
The delay in the negotiations is because of Juventus, who contacted Boca over the last few days for the player as well. The Bianconeri’s objective is to slow Milan’s negotiations down till possibly even the end of August, according to Peppe Di Stefano. However, if Juve were to sign one of their other targets to replace Pogba, Bentancur will no longer be their objective.
Also according to Gazzetta Dello Sport, the young Argentine midfielder has agreed personal terms with the Rossoneri on a 5-year contract, worth €1.5M per year. They also state that Milan are very confident about signing the midfielder, and they look to close the deal with Boca in the coming days.
It sure looks like Milan will be adding their first midfielder of the summer mercato within the next few days.
