The Rossoneri have one-upped their Serie A competitors by securing the signature of the Serie B capocannoniere despite him being very close to joining Napoli.
As per TMW, Milan have reached an agreement with Pescara over a €9 million transfer Gianluca Lapadula and only a few minor details need to be ironed out before it becomes official. The Delfini striker was in constant talks with Napoli, who at one point only needed a ‘yes’ from the player himself to confirm his arrival and also Juventus, but Milan have turned out to be the surprise winners of his signature.
Lapadula is expected to complete his medical tomorrow morning and if all is positive, he will sign on the dotted line to finalize a 5-year deal worth €1 million a season plus bonuses. He finished the Serie B season with 30 goals and 12 assists in all competitions.
