Milan’s Andrea Bertolacci and M’Baye Niang briefed media following the 1-0 defeat to Roma.
Speaking to MilanTV Andrea Bertolacci discussed the match and his overall performance.
On the match?
“We are really disappointed because we had a great chance with the penalty, but we must put this defeat behind us and focus on next Saturday’s game.
It was important to show we deserve to be up there in the league”.
“We have faith in ourselves and the results are helping us. There’s enthusiasm”.
On his performance overall?
“I am quite satisfied with how I played, however I am disappointed for the result.
I am feeling better now and it’s up to me to show to the boss I deserve a place in the starting berth”.
Next Niang was interviewed:
Your thoughts on the game?
“We played a great game, we really managed to practice what we preach. They did well to score with their only chance, but we have to continue like this because we are doing really well”.
Missing another penalty?
“It’s not easy for me. I am sorry because I could’ve helped the team. I just need to keep working hard”.
Are there issues with Lapadula?
“Gianluca and I don’t have any problems, we have a great relationship.
Immediately after last week’s match everything was fine and today he told me to keep calm. He deserves to take the next penalty”.
On the group…
“We are really a great group and we must continue like this and start preparing for the match against Atalanta. We will play at home and hopefully lots of fans will be at San Siro”.
