Due to their renewal of their sponsorship deal with Fly Emirates and taking into consideration the possibility of finishing third this season, Milan are interested in bolstering their attack among other things.
Milan are already thinking of reinforcements in attack early in the season. If former Chelsea striker Fernando Torres continues to struggle to acclimate himself with the Serie A, it is unlikely that Milan will re-sign with the club. Given the whole in attack Torres’ departure would leave Milan with, the Italian club are reportedly in the market for Porto’s Jackson Martinez.
It would not be the first time the Colombian striker is linked with Inzaghi’s side as last summer there were rumors of a potential deal being struck between Porto and Milan, however nothing ever came from these rumors.
The striker’s release clause is estimated to be around 35 million euros, a price that Porto will be forced to lower and re-evaluate. The contacts between the clubs have been continuous over the last few months. Milan sporting director Adriano Galliani is reportedly interested in speeding up the process for the forward shortly, according to Tuttosport.
