The former U-21 Azzurri International will have to wait before unpacking his bags as he is set for another loan stint this season.
As reported by Alfredo Pedulla, Milan have sent attacking midfielder Simone Verdi back out on loan, this time to Carpi, after returning from a six month stay at Spanish club Eibar. Carpi have confirmed the arrival of the 23-year old via their official website:
”Carpi FC 1909 announces the acquisition, from Milan, of the rights to Simone Verdi on a temporary loan ending June 30th 2016 with an option to buy for the Biancorossi”
Verdi made 13 appearances across all competitions for Eibar with his only goal coming in their Copa del Rey match versus Ponferradina in the 4th Round. He was a member of Milan’s Primavera prior to being bought by Torino in 2011, only to be sent out on loan on two occasions afterwards. He returned to Milan via a transfer from Torino last summer but was immediately sent on loan to La Liga with Eibar.
