With Riccardo Montolivo’s season mostly finished, Ignazio Abate has been named interim captain.
Milan has selected their new man to wear the armband in the form of Ignazio Abate, according to Premium Sport.
Following Montolivo’s injury with the national team, which has more than likely ended his campaign, a new leader had to be assigned in the locker room.
The Rossoneri usually decide the captain by who has the most experience or tenure with the club. Abate is naturally the next in line for the role.
Abate has over 200 appearances with the 7-time Champions League winners.
