AC Milan have reportedly reached an agreement with Premier League side Chelsea for Marco Van Ginkel.
Despite adding Jeremy Menez from Paris Saint-Germain, Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi is still looking to improve the depth and quality of his squad after losing Robinho, Kaka, Alessandro Matri, Valter Birsa and Adel Taarabt this summer. He is reportedly keen on bolstering his midfield.
According to Sky Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Milan have reached an agreement with Chelsea in order to bring Van Ginkel on loan. Reportedly, the switch to the San Siro now weighs on the former Vitesse midfielder as it is now all down to him.
Although, the 21-year-old has reportedly selected the Rossoneri over Portuguese side Benfica, he still has the option to remain at Stamford Bridge. Since the signing of Spanish international Cesc Fabregas, it looks unlikely that the Dutch midfielder will break into the first team putting the thought of a possible move to the Serie A into his head.
Van Ginkel appeared in only four games for The Blues in all competitions last season as he suffered the majority of the campaign with a cruciate ligament rupture.
