In a Coppa Italia final preview, Milan host first place Juventus Saturday evening in hopes of ending a four match winless streak. This match is pivotal for both sides as Milan hope to hold on to sixth place, while Juventus look to widen their lead over Napoli at the top of the table.

With only seven matches left it seems as if every match must be played like a cup final. With Sassuolo only a single point behind, the rossoneri must bring their best Saturday evening as they take on the unanimous powerhouse of Serie A. Milan are currently in a dogfight for the last spot in Europe that Serie A has to offer. With Sassuolo closing the margin between the two, Milan cannot afford to drop many more points down the stretch. This game also proves vital for Milan as they will be able to measure themselves against their future Coppa Italia final opponents.

Juventus: WWWWW

Juventus is enjoying a great spell of form at the moment. Despite their exit from the Champions League against German powerhouse Bayern Munich, Juventus haven’t missed a beat when it comes to their performances in Serie A. They currently sit top of the table with a comfortable six point lead over second place Napoli. The Old Lady will be missing their star striker Paolo Dybala Saturday due to a muscular injury. However, they find themselves in good hands regardless with the likes of Alvaro Morata or Simone Zaza ready to fill his role.

A.C. Milan: LDDLW

Over the last four matches, Milan has obtained a total of two points against the likes of Sassuolo, Chievo, Lazio, and Atalanta. In these fixtures the rossoneri have scored a total of two goals. Milan seem desperate in front of goal as of late and it only gets more difficult for them as they take on the best defensive side in Serie A. Milan will need big performances from their strikers up front come Saturday. It has been rumoured that Mario Balotelli will be gifted the start Saturday alongside the rossoneri‘s hitman Carlos Bacca. Milan also have some issues that they must consider when it comes to the centre midfield. Captain Riccardo Montolivo fitness seems to be in question leading into Saturday evening along with Juraj Kucka who is set to miss the match due to a muscular injury. In addition, Andrea Bertolacci is suspended for Saturday’s clash due to yellow card accumulation.
