Mauro Icardi arrived this summer to Inter in co-ownership with great expectations on him. After the extraordinary season with Sampdoria last year (33 appearances and 11 goals), he was considered the right player to strengthen Inter’s forward.
Nevertheless, this year the player never really showed the talent expected and has not found enough space, due to poor performances and frequent pubic injuries, playing only 8 times and scoring twice.
Thus, after the collapse of the deal between Belfodil and QPR, Inter may let him leave to Monaco, who have set eye on him.
The French team have the necessity to acquire a forward for the second part of the season due to Falcao’s bad injury. Inter will receive €1.5 million and the player will join Monaco on loan, with a possible buyout clause included in the deal.
