Montolivo: “We Need To Beat Juve For Our Self-Confidence”

Milan captain Riccardo Montolivo had a lengthy interview with Gazzetta dello Sport in which he discussed the big game against Juventus this weekend. “It’s the right game”, the midfielder declared, “We have to beat a big [team] for both self-confidence and for the standings”. When speaking about Allegri’s dismissal: “We were in need of a shake up, in the last few months the environment was not tranquil.”

On the new arrival of Seedorf: “He is a manager that points to conversation, he is destined to have a great career, but now he needs to have the time to make mistakes.” To conclude the interview, after declaring that the Taarabt acquisition has struck him the most, thanks to his great spirit of sacrifice, Montolivo pauses to briefly discuss the goals for this season: “Restarting with the base of Europa League is possible, but not more than that.”
