Montolivo: “Right Now Seedorf Is Our Manager”

Milan were able to exercise their Sassuolo demons today by beating the team that led to Allegri’s firing 2-1 at home. Following the match Milan captain Riccardo Montolivo spoke to Sky. “We knew that we had a small chance [in qualifying for Europa League], we had belief, we put it all on the field then I saw Parma’s result and there was nothing more to do. We will look forward, it was important to have won. The manager will speak with the team and we will see what will happen. Right now our manager is Seedorf and we tried to reach this goal with him. The concentration issues did not permit us to have continuity this season.”

Montolivo concluded his interview discussing the upcoming World Cup. “First I have to pass the 23 [man] selection. I hope that it will be a magical World Cup for Italy and I am happy for Giuseppe Rossi, he is a great guy and he deserves it.”
