Football Leaks has struck yet again, after Tevez, Imbula, Falcao, James Rodriguez and many others, Juventus’ Alvaro Morata has had his contract leaked.
Morata was transferred to Juventus in the summer of 2015 for a fee of 20 million euro. In the contract we can see that Real Madrid has a “diritto de recompra”. What this consists of is either after this season or the next, Real can resign the player for a fee of 30 million euro if he has played more than half of Juve’s games, 25 million if he has played between 25% and 50% of matches, and finally 20 million euro if he has played less than 25% of matches with Juventus.
The most interesting element within the Spanish forward’s contract is the fact that after the 2017 season the Turin based side has no claim to the player. This means that when Morata’s contract with Juventus ends, his future will be decided by both himself and Real Madrid. However, if Juventus were to sell the player to another team before then, they would then have to pay the Galacticos a massive fee of 80 million euro.
