Yuto Nagatomo has had so far a terrific season, settling in perfectly in Mazzarri’s tactic, that usually allows the wing-backs to score frequently. The Japanese wasn’t an exception to that rule: he scored 5 goals in 24 matches.
He was interviewed today by Sky Sport: “We’ll face a difficult game because Fiorentina is a strong team. We prepare well and hope to win. I like to score, with Mazzarri I don’t play as a fullback, I want to make some more. I’m honored for having worn the captain’s armand and I have to thank everybody, supporters and teammates.”
On his expectations for the rest of the season, Zanetti and Thohir: “I think it’s possible to qualify for an European spot. The arrival of Hernanes was positive for the team. Zanetti is very strong, my dream is to become like him. He always care for everybody and I like him a lot. I’m very proud for having an Asian president, it’s an honour.”
He closed by remarking on his future at Inter and on the NT: “I’d like to play in Inter forever. Japan is growing a lot with Zaccheroni, I think the WC will go well.”
