Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan spoke to Roma TV’s SlideShow, taking a look back at his recent history with the Giallorossi

“It was a great feeling to beat Juventus. I think we’re on a level with them this year. The win showed that we’re a strong team and can beat the big guns. We hope to improve on our consistency and make sure we’re in the mix come the end of the season.”

Nainggolan then spoke about head coach Rudi Garcia: “He’s a fantastic person and a great coach. The group is right behind him. Obviously things haven’t always gone perfectly but we know we can achieve big things this year and I hope we can pull off something important together.”

The Belgian international spoke on his relationship with vice-captain, Daniele De Rossi: “Daniele is a great guy and really welcomed me when I arrived. Being such a huge figure in football, I wasn’t expecting to come across such a humble man. His story speaks for him – he’s only ever played for Roma, it’s his team.”

There was similar praise for Kevin Strootman and Miralem Pjanic: “Kevin is a wonderful player and it’s a real shame he’s been out for so long. I love playing with him so hope he returns to the pitch as soon as possible. Miralem is another top player and a good friend of mine away from the field. We often hang out.”
