Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan spoke to the media following his side’s 1-1 draw in the first leg of their Champions League qualifier against Porto.
In his post-match interview he told Premium Sport:
“Playing with ten men for 60 minutes cost us. We wasted a lot of energy. It would have been different had we scored three or four goals in the first half. We could have easily been up three or four but this is football and we have it all to play for at home. Playing our first game of the season with a man down is difficult. We have to improve, we ran a lot. We obtained a positive result and it’s up to us to close it at home. Now we’ll focus on Sunday’s game. We have to start the season on the right foot. We’ll have a lot of games to play this season but it doesn’t matter. Time to focus on our next game.”
