The Partenopei are close to adding the emerging Uruguayan international to their ranks for the upcoming season.
Moves are already taking place for the summer in Napoli’s front office. After Pepe Reina’s move to AC Milan is completed, De Laurentiis and co are already lining up a move for Lucas Torreira.
According to Corriere dello Sport, an agreement has been reached between Napoli and the player on a 5-year deal worth €1.5 million per season with an option to increase it.
Now the talks will proceed between the clubs to see if the release clause of €25 million is negotiable. Sampdoria will likely accept nothing less and will force the Azzurri to pay the full fee.
In any case, Napoli want to bring the 22-year-old to the San Paolo and lock up the deal as soon as possible.
This comes days after the club announced the renewal of Allan until 2023.
