Furio Valcareggi, the agent of Emanuele Giaccherini, formally asked Napoli for to sell his player in a Radio interview with Kiss Kiss radio.
Emanuele Giaccherini, the thirty-one-year-old Italian winger, joined the Parteneopei this summer from Sunderland for a two million euro transfer fee and has been not been receiving the playing time Valcareggi expects from Sarri.
Even though Valcareggi claims that Sarri and he have a good relationship, he asked the club for the sale of the “well-known player.”During the radio interview, Valcareggi came tho the realization that Giaccherini “will never play” due to the preexisting conditions the team already faces.
Valcareggi stated that Callejon at right wing is “indispensable” for the Partenopei and an absolute necessity for the squad. Also with the imminent return of Napoli’s star striker Arek Milik, Dries Mertens would be pushed back to his original position of left wing, with he and Insigne alternating at the wing. Due to that, Giaccherini would never see any playing time at the wing. He also stated that he could never play at Napoli’s midfield, due to their extensive depth with Hamsik, Jorginho, Allan, Zielinski, Rog, and Diawara.
Giaccherini this year has no goals in the Serie A fixture, and the only goal he has for the Partenopei came during the Coppa Italia round of 16 against Spezia, a Serie B team. Valcareggi stated that there are “so many teams that are looking at Giacherrini”, and he and Napoli will find a deal that works for everybody involved.
