Napoli are eagerly awaiting the decision from Bologna winger Simone Verdi, while also keeping an eye out for alternatives.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Napoli will give Bologna’s Simone Verdi 24-48 hours to make his final decision.
The club was confident the winger would give them a positive response to the move. However, the Italian international has yet to give an answer, and with only two weeks remaining in the winter transfer market, the league leaders are making alternative plans to add in this area by inquiring about Paris Saint-Germain’s Brazilian Lucas Moura.
Due to FFP, the French club needs to sell, and or bring in revenue from other sources, to balance the books – with Moura one of the players up for the exit door.
The 25-year old would move on a loan initially with a buyout clause inserted based on a number of appearances the winger makes during his time at Napoli.
There is the possibility president Aurelio De Laurentiis moves back onto Barcelona’s Gerard Deulofeu who is likely to leave this window and eyes a return to Italy, with Napoli being the the most interested.
