SSC Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis is said to be looking at the likes of Andre Ayew and James Milner to bring in in January.
De Laurentiis met with his management team this week and from Tuesday will start looking at potential signings for the winter transfer window.
Two of the names that are to be discussed are Marseille’s Andre Ayew and Manchester City’s James Milner as both players’ contracts run out in the summer, meaning they could be available in January for cut-down prices.
Marseille winger Ayew, son of Ghanaian legend Abedi Pele, has been a regular for the French side ever since 2010, but at the age of 24 the general notion is that he would have progressed a lot more by now.
As for James Milner, contract talks have stalled between his representatives and Manchester City as he wants to be assured of first team football. However, Milner has received a lot of minutes at The Etihad in recent weeks and his performances have improved, so it now looks likely a deal will be agreed for the long-term.
