After signing Leonardo Pavoletti from Genoa, Napoli have now set their sights on bolstering their defence.
According to the Corriere dello Sport, the partenopei have identified Mattia De Sciglio as a priority at fullback, after acquiring Pavoletti. Napoli and Genoa reached an agreement and the striker gave his go-ahead for the deal.
With the deal all but secured, Maurizio Sarri has now asked for defensive reinforcements. The Italian tactician would like another fullback as Christian Maggio, at 35 years old, is nearing the end of his career.
Sarri has reportedly set his sights on Mattia De Sciglio, as per the Corriere dello Sport. Napoli are keen on the player due to his Serie A and international experience. In addition, the fullback would have no adaptation period.
Now, however, it remains to be seen what De Laurentiis will offer for the player and if Milan are willing to part ways with him. In the past, De Sciglio has expressed his desire to stay at the club.
