With Faouzi Ghoulam suffering a major injury setback, the Partenopei are on the market for a stop-gap solution. According to SportItalia, their man is Croatia international Hrvoje Milic.

President of Napoli Aurelio De Laurentiis has given the green light to go ahead and complete the deal. The ex-Fiorentina fullback will sign before the return leg against Red Bull Leipzig, but will not be eligible to play.

The main concern is Mario Rui holding up for the next three months. The Portuguese leftback has been himself plagued with injuries, resulting in problems the last two seasons.

Milic would provide the necessary cover in order to avoid a crisis situation.

The Croatian last played for Olympiakos but was released on 31 January 2018.
