Napoli are on the verge of acquiring Brazilian youngster, Leandrinho, who recently left Ponte Preta.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the 18-year-old Brazilian forward has been a major target for the partenopei since the summer transfer window and Napoli finally seem to be close to signing their man after having resolved numerous bureaucratic problems.
The young talent, who has attracted interest from teams such as Manchester City and Real Madrid due to his success with the Brazilian national youth teams, visited Napoli’s training centre in the summer and it seems that he is now convinced by the idea of continuing his career in Southern Italy.
Leandrinho, who can play on the wing or as a trequartista, also attended Napoli’s 0-0 draw against Dynamo Kyiv last night ahead of the finalisation of his move. Now, it seems that there is little in the way of Leandrinho and Napoli, who have fought off tough competition to sign this young talent.
Leandrinho will occupy Napoli’s final ‘Non-EU’ spot come January, should all go to plan.
