On loan forward M’Baye Niang spoke to the media following his goal scoring exploits for Genoa in their win against Hellas Verona.
Niang was in excellent form today for the grifoni as he bagged a brace in their 5-2 win over Andrea Mandorlini’s Hellas Verona. In his post-match interview with Sky Sport, the Senegalese forward was delighted with his performance and said,:
“Over the last few months I’ve had a lot of patience in regards to football. Today with the help of my teammates, I managed to score two goals. Every game I look to score goals and play for the team. Today I took two shots and scored two goals. I’m very happy.”
The winger was then asked to comment about the differences between his time at Milan and his short experience at Genoa so far. The 20 year old said,:
“At Genoa, I feel the faith that is shown in me by everyone and the manager while at Milan this was not the case. He makes me work hard in front of goal. He even teaches me how to score goals with my head. I am always looking to improve in order to do well.”
Niang concluded his interview by talking about Genoa’s upcoming match against Sampdoria in the Derby della Lanterna. He said,:
“It’s a game that we must win. We have a whole week to prepare for it. We must train seriously in order to win this game.”
The former Milan winger has two goals in 9 appearances so far this season.
