Skilled Italian attacker Riccardo Orsolini officially completed his loan move to Bologna Wednesday evening in the final hours of Deadline Day.
Riccardo Orsolini heads over to join Roberto Donadoni’s side at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara on an 18-month loan with an option to buy, and a counter-option to buy for parent club Juventus who purchased him last January from Ascoli.

The 21-year old sparkled during last summer’s U20 World Cup, helping elevate Italy on a run to the semi-finals. Following the impressive tournament display, Orsolini linked up with Gian Piero Gasperini’s Atalanta on a two-year loan that has been disappointing considering he has seldom featured for the Bergamasca side.
A player resembling Sassuolo winger Domenic Berardi and Juventus’ Federico Bernardeschi, as the official Bologna website explains, Orsolini boasts the necessary ball skill, pace and trickery to play in several attacking roles for Donadoni who surely cannot wait to get the U-21 star primed for a strong second half in rossoblu.
Considered by many as one of Italian football’s crown jewel talents, Riccardo Orsolini is hopeful that this move can unlock his true potential and perhaps eventually, bring him back to J Stadium wearing bianconero for the first team down the line.
