After a string of unimpressive peformances for Milan and falling out of favor with club supporters, Alessio Cerci is now packing his bags once again.
As reported by La Gazetta dello Sport, Genoa have announced via their official website the acquisition of the 28-year old Italian winger for the remainder of the season.
”Il Genoa Cricket and Football Club communicates that it has acquired from AC Milan, the rights of footballer Alessio Cerci. The transfer deal is that of a temporary loan”
Cerci‘s career has been stuck on neutral since leaving Torino for Atlético Madrid in 2014. He has only managed a single assist in a combined 15 games across all competitions for Milan this season. Cerci did not win any brownie points with coach Sinisa Mihajlovic nor the passionate fanbase when he spent a night out at a Casino prior to an important clash versus Roma. His poor choices and dip in form has led to him closing his social media accounts as he was facing outrage from the fans. Now that a temporary loan has been finalized, he will be eligible to compete in Genoa’s upcoming fixture versus Hellas Verona on Sunday.
