Following the recent exits of Eder and Vasco Regini, Sampdoria have completed the signing of a former Verona midfielder.
As reported by multiple outlets in Italy such as Corriere dello Sport, 24-year old midfielder Jacopo Sala has joined Sampdoria on a loan with an obligation to buy at the end of the season. Sampdoria made the announcement official via their website:
”U.C. Sampdoria S.p.A. is pleased to announce the loan signing with compulsory purchase of Jacopo Sala from Hellas Verona F.C. The midfielder born in Alzano Lombardo, Bergamo on 5 December 1991 has put pen to paper on four-year deal until 2020. Sala, who has chosen the No.22 shirt, will train with his new team-mates for the first time today”
Sala played 19 games for Hellas Verona without recording a goal or assist. Prior to signing with Verona, he spent time in Chelsea’s youth system and at Bundesliga club Hamburg SV.
