The Champions League winners have announced today their resigning of Alvaro Morata.
In an official statement on the team’s website, Real Madrid announced they had signed the Juventus forward.
“Real Madrid C. F. have informed Juventus FC of their decision to salvage the federative rights on the player Álvaro Morata, who will join up with the first team for pre-season training under the command of Zinedine Zidane.”
Juventus still have a chance to buy back Morata but will have to do so before June 30th. For now, it seems that Morata will be a Real Madrid player next season.
Since joining the Old Lady two years ago, Morata had gone on to become a fan favourite and a poacher in the box.
Signed for initially €20 million, Madrid will now pay €30 million to buy him back from Juventus.
Last season Morata scored in all three competitions he played in scoring 12 goals and 12 assists in 44 matches.
