Former Juventus utility forward Michele Padovano talked about Juventus’ reaction to Wednesday’s elimination, and of Conte’s future at the club.
“Juventus has a strong base, tough and resistant players. Obviously, a hit like Wednesday’s is one that players will react to differently, however, I believe that they will translate anger for the loss into victories”, he told TuttoMercatoWeb.com.
He then turned to Juventus’ focus in the coming months: “I believe that the bianconeri will want to show that they are still the best in Italy and then go for the Europa League. Knowing Conte, he won’t leave any stone unturned and will prepare everything in detail. He will immediately try to motivate his players, testing their determination and hunger”.
Juventus fans asked questions about the club’s interest in the Europa League, “It’s still an international competition, and Conte will incarnate his winning mentality in a positive approach towards this new target”, Padovano continued.
The usual rumours about a possible adieu of the man from Lecce have started to circulate, to which Padovano said “Juventus brass are happy to build a stronger group with Conte in order to attain future victories, including the Champions League”.
“To work with Juventus is already a privilege, I believe that Conte knows this well, and I believe that he’s ready to continue this wonderful experience”.
