Palermo are hoping they can sign Liverpool outcast Mario Balotelli to help bolster their attack.
Gianluca Di Marzio is reporting that Mario Balotelli is intrigued by the idea of playing for his hometown club.
The club wishes to bring the maverick striker back to his hometown, and to hopefully relaunch his career which as many know has been lacking as of late. The player has been training by himself as manager Jurgen Klopp has told Balotelli that he will not feature in any of his plans for this season.
There is however an obstacle in French club Nice, who would like to purchase the striker outright from Liverpool. The Ligue 1 club are set to meet with the 26-year old’s super agent Mino Raiola in Monte Carlo. Di Marzio is reporting that Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini will contact Balotelli to try and halt any advances being made from Nice.
Conversely, the Rosanero may have another enticement in the form of Balotelli’s former international colleague and friend Alessandro Diamanti who recently joined Palermo. Chievo are supposedly still interested in bringing Balotelli in, proving that his future still remains in limbo.
