Pescara to become the likely destination for Alberto Paloschi in January despite interest from Bologna and Lazio.
After a short stint with Swansea in the EPL last season, Alberto Paloschi was sold to Atalanta in the summer but has found it increasingly difficult to return to his goal-scoring habits from his time at Chievo. Unable to give Andrea Petagna any real competition up top, Paloschi has only appeared six times this season while being acquainted with the bench more often than not. Although he has sat out the last five games with a muscular injury, it is almost guaranteed that he will find himself a new home come January.
As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, a handful of Serie A clubs have contacted Atalanta over his availability, with Pescara, Bologna and Lazio being the most interested. Paloschi is said to be leaning towards a move to Pescara, who are open to a six month loan deal, over a switch to Bologna due to him and Mattia Destro occupying the same role. Lazio might also be removed from his list due to Ciro Immobile’s form and potential lack of playing time should he chose to move from Bergamo to Rome.
