After just over a year in charge Parma have parted ways with manager Luigi Apolloni
The former Crociati player took over the role of manager at the club last season after it was re-started down in Serie D following the bankruptcy of the club the season before. With promotion expected Apolloni handled the pressure with ease as he guided his Ducali side to an undefeated season an thus promotion back into the professional league of Lega Pro.
Heading into this campaign many expected Parma to continue their push back up through the divisions, however performances this year have been sub-par and the club currently find themselves down in sixth place. The final straw for the club came this past weekend when Parma suffered a surprisingly heavy defeat at home to Padova (1-4). Thus news coming through tonight from the club is that they have parted ways with Apolloni and his coaching staff. Club President and former manager Nevio Scala has also resigned from his role at the club.
Meanwhile Stefano Morrone, current youth team manager has been put in temporary charge. The club is also set to hold a press conference tomorrow morning where more details will be sure to come to light on what the future hold for the Gialloblu
