Brazilian striker and former Milan man Alexandre Pato is reportedly pushing for a move to Italy and Luciano Spalletti’s Roma appear interested.
According to calciomercato, Pato may be making a return to Italy sooner rather than later. The striker is struggling to find playing time at Villareal. Sky Sport recently reported that Roma are thinking about bringing the Brazilian back to Italy in the January transfer window. Pato would like to return to Italy, as evidenced by his exchanges on Twitter. If Pato does not come, Roma will then turn their attention to Genk’s Leon Bailey.
Instant reaction from Pato after Villareal got drawn against Roma in the Round of 32 of the Europa League.
“We’ll see each other soon @UmbertoGandini, Villareal v Roma…oh, how I miss Italy.”
To which, Umberto Gandini, Roma’s Chief Executive Officer replied the following:
“It’s going to be a pleasure Alexandre !”
Sarà un piacere Alexandre !
