Piotr Zielinski has had a very eventful Serie A campaign so far this season, being largely effective in essentially every single game he has featured in. It comes to no surprise that a team like Napoli are interested in the Polish youngster.
Having recorded a goal and 3 assists so far this campaign, Zielinski (21) has caught the eyes of many top Italian teams, namely Napoli. Maurizio Sarri has expressed a desire for his former colleague’s (Empoli) signature. This comes to no surprise as Sarri in the past has already expressed interest in former players, like Mirko Valdifiori, Matias Vecino, Elseid Hysaj, and now Piotr Zielinski.
His agent, Patrick Mork, in an interview with Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli said, “Piotr is very happy with the interest Napoli has in him, however nothing will happen in January. We will discuss the matter in the summer. He is happy to be wearing Empoli’s jersey.”
Apparently we will have to wait for the summer transfer window to get a clear glimpse of what Piotr Zielinski’s future looks like. However for now, we are treated with watching him assist fellow teammate Massimo Maccarone to a few more goals at least until the end of the season.
