Monaco newcomer Pietro Pellegri and former Milan product Giovanni Crociata enjoyed last weekend’s affairs by accomplishing proud individual achievements on the pitch.
It was another record-setting feat for 16-year-old Pietro Pellegri on the weekend. In the 86th minute of Monaco’s 4-0 battering of Dijon, the Genoa youth product made his Ligue 1 debut for the Principality. With this appearance, Pellegri became the youngest player in 40 years at 16 years, 11 months and 42 days to debut for the reigning French champions, surpassing the superstar forward Kylian Mbappe.
Afterwards, the Paris Saint-Germain attacker went on to congratulate the tall Italian on Twitter for his achievement.
“Congratulations Pietro Pellegri for the record”

Back to Italy, 20-year old Giovanni Crociata, a former Rossoneri academy product, notched his first goal in the Italian top-flight last weekend with an 11th minute tap-in to put Crotone ahead. The Calabrese unfortunately were unable to keep hold of the lead as last-place Benevento managed a comeback and eventual 3-2 victory. Nonetheless, it will be a day the Sicilian never forgets.
