The ex-Milan midfielder is set to relaunch his career with the Delfini.
After a long and daring campaign, Pescara made it back to Serie A thanks to Gianluca Lapadula’s magic. Unfortunately, they will have to take on Serie A without their talisman. But that isn’t stopping Pescara from reinforcing their squad.
Now, looking forward the club has closed the deal for Benfica’s midfielder Bryan Cristante. Last year, the midfielder only made 9 appearances between both Palermo and Benfica, leaving him to search for pastures anew for 2016/17.
Once touted as the future of Italian football, the now 21-year old has fallen off the radar of being an elite prospect and will have to work back towards becoming a centerpiece of any team he signs for.
Pescara have signed him on a loan deal, and Cristante will leave Portugal tonight and arrive in Abruzzo tomorrow to undergo the medical visit, according to SKY journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.
Cristante has made only 20 appearances for Benfica since signing from Milan for €6 million in 2014.
