Juventus and Italy playmaker Andrea Pirlo left the pitch very early in the game against Udinese. After limping off the field, the team’s medical staff quickly gave attention to the veteran.
The knock was picked up only about five minutes into the match but he had attempted to carry on until the 14th minute of the match when he signaled over to the bench.
Pirlo’s injury may only be a contusion below his knee. If only a bruise, Pirlo should be able to take part in the crucial game against Galatasaray next week.
His condition will be evaluated over the next few hours by the Juventus medical staff. Updates will follow as necessary.
