The Italy icon will play his final match ever at the end of May.
Speaking to Radio RMC, Andrea Pirlo described where and what his final game will look like.
“Next 21 May at the San Siro will be the scene of my final football match and I’d like to share it with everybody.
“I’d like to see the same spirit as always and us enjoy it all while being together a happy way with our families.
“At the game almost every one of my teammates will be there. I chose the San Siro because there I played the majority of my career and got to know many of my teammates, but it was always the best choice logistically for those coming from abroad [due to the San Siro being close to the Malpensa airport].
Who’s the ideal candidate for the Nazionale? “I dont’ work at the [FIGC] and I don’t get to choose. They’ll decide it soon, as many names are circling. They’ll pick the best candidate to rebuild Italian football.
“Buffon? He has three or four more months ahead of him to decide what to do with his future.”
