Juventus play-maker Miralem Pjanic was subbed off at halftime due to injury in their 4-0 Champions League victory over Dinamo Zagreb. The Bosnian international spoke to Swiss Channel RSI post match and discussed his squad’s performance and his availability for Sunday.
Pjanic on Juventus’s performance:
“The team played well, we left little space to the opponent and did a good job pressuring with our strikers. We occupied the space well, and then after the first goal the team played a good match. We strongly wanted this, as well as to take home the three points.”
Pjanic on his 24th minute goal and Sunday’s match vs Empoli.
“The goal? I’m always happy when I score, but the team’s performance is more important. Today I am happy, except for having taken a blow. I hope to recover soon and be available for Sunday.”
Pjanic has proved impressive for Juventus so far this season and has stood out as a real difference maker in the squad when healthy. In addition to his goal Tuesday evening, the 26 year old provided a brilliant ball for Gonzalo Higuain to put Juventus 2-0 ahead.
