Paul Pogba’s world-record move to Manchester United from Juventus took over a year to complete, says the Frenchman’s agent.
Paul Pogba’s transfer to English giant Manchester United dominated football headlines this past summer, before the move from Juventus was officially finalized.
His agent Mino Raiola spoke to talkSPORT over the amount of time it took to complete the France international’s world-record £89.3m move away from Turin:
“Paul Pogba’s deal was one we had been looking at already for a year. Longer than that, maybe. It’s a complex deal because it involves a lot of parties and it also involves a lot of high-stakes rights and it’s difficult to get it over the line.”
Filled with Adidas campaign ads and the now infamous “blah blah blah” pitch, the Pogba transfer was one that will linger in the minds of football fanatics for quite some time.
