PSG boss Laurent Blanc must be looking over his shoulder with rumours that Antonio Conte, having recently quit Juventus, is after his job.
In the conference just before the Parisians’ recent friendly, a journalist directly queried Blanc on his job security to which he replied,
“I don’t know. I have my bags ready.
In this profession – and it’s been a few years that I’ve been doing this – you don’t have time to unpack your bags. Sometimes you have to reuse them.
Mine are ready. In the garage.”
Blanc’s PSG crushed all competition in the French domestic league and reached the Champions League quarter finals before going out to a late Demba Ba goal for Chelsea. And it’s safe to say that if the Sheikhs are going for European glory, Conte is not the man for the job.
But that’s just wishful thinking. In truth, everybody is in the dark about the Count’s future after he mysteriously resigned from his Juve post and Nazionale fans can only cross their fingers and wait.
