Juventus set to broaden their youth ranks with the upcoming addition of teenager Leandro Fernandes as he currently takes his medicals.
The Bianconeri directed most of their attention this month during the January transfer window on building relationships with several Italian clubs and working towards the future by approaching young talent. Soon, they will secure one of their targets in 18-year old Leandro Fernandes.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the teenager from PSV Eindhoven is currently at J Medical undergoing medical examinations before putting pen to paper on a Juventus contract that will see him join the Primavera squad.
The Netherlands U-18 attacking midfielder has spent his entire playing career in Eindhoven, but has yet to debut for the first team. However, Juventus directors Beppe Marotta and Fabio Paratici seem to value highly Fernandes’ quality for PSV’s U-19 side where he has featured in a total of 35 matches, scoring five goals and supplying three assists.
