Barcelona midfielder Rafinha had his representatives meet with the club earlier today in hopes of ironing out the financials of a move to Inter.
Negotiations to bring the 24-year old Brazilian international to the San Siro are still on-going, as Gianluca Di Marzio reported earlier today the player’s representatives sat down with Barcelona to make strides for a move this month.
As it stands, the Blaugrana believe Rafinha’s value would exceed 20 million euros upon returning to the pitch, something that has proven difficult for him over the past few years due to battles with injury. This is precisely why the Nerazzurri are only willing to bring him aboard on a free loan with an option to buy in the summer, which appear to be acceptable terms for the current Spanish leaders.
The two parties have settled on meeting again in the next few days once a financial figure can be identified.
The Milanese club is eyeing an option priced at €20 million plus €3 million in bonuses, however Barcelona deem that offer inadequate. In any case, because Rafinha has yet to make an appearance for the club this season, Inter’s entourage must be optimistic the São Paulo native can be had on favourable terms.
