The high profile agent returned to the spotlight after an interview where he spot about some of Serie A’s top talents.
Speaking to Rai Sport, Mino Raiola made sure to set fans on edge after mentioning the names of several top layers.
Firstly, the Italo-Dutchman agent fired a shot at FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
“The transfer market needs to be regulated, but not with the proposals [Infantino] has put forward. I, for example, am in agreement that there should only be one transfer winter in order to guarantee at least a year of the player’s contracts.
“For the transfer market, FIFA and UEFA have to come to an agreement because the market is distorted greatly by FFP.”
Next, Raiola answered questions regarding individual players?
Donnarumma: “Gigio made the choice to remain at Milan last summer. When he changes his mind, I’ll do my job. For now I haven’t spoken with Milan but I wouldn’t exclude anything. If I had my way he would have left Milan, but it was the player’s choice, and I respect it.”
Insigne: “I can’t be his agent because he has to resolve a few problems with his previous agent, but I’d like to be it. He’s a spectacular player, we’ll see what his future holds.”
Balotelli: “He’s had an adventurous journey but I’ve always had faith in him. For me he’s among the top 10 attackers in the world. He’s Italy’s best. We’ll speak to clubs in Italy, the Premier League and in other countries. His future is in the club that believes in him the most. He could very well end up at a club like Juve, Napoli or Roma. For me, he’s ready to come back to Italy.”
Bonaventura: “He has a contract with Milan but he has many suitors from big clubs. When the moment is right, we’ll sit around the table and talk.”
Icardi: “He’s an interesting player and I’d like to have him, but I’ve never had a relationship neither with him or with his wife. I wanted to contact him to explain to him that the rumors circulating aren’t coming from me. I want to bring respect.”
Dybala: “They’ve associated me with him but I’ve never made contact. The fans can stay calm.”
Verratti: “I’ve started to get to know Marco now. He’s a very nice guy despite always being in the eye of a hurricane. For PSG he’s unsellable.
Pogba to Real Madrid: “I’m not a taxi-driver, I don’t bring anybody anywhere. If however things don’t go well with United I’ll be ready to do my job, which is make my players happy. Paul hasn’t asked me to leave and there aren’t these battles you hear about between him and Mourinho.”
