Ranocchia: Hard Work Will Pay Off

In the wake of the 2-2 draw against Nigeria, Inter defenceman Andrea Ranocchia told RAI “We must continue to work hard to concede less.  Nigeria created little, but maximized their chances, while we did well to create through game play but missed our chances”.

Italy continues to concede goals from headers.  Ranocchia is not worried “We have to improve on this. It’s normal that we suffer defensively, at the International level there is very little time to practice and implement defensive strategies

Turning from club to country, Ranocchia states “From tomorrow I will turn my attention to Inter.  I am suspended for the game versus Bologna FC, but the lads are doing well and we must continue as we have in the last outings.  We will go to Emilia-Romagna to win.  On a personal note, I’m fit and I want to continue my good form”
