It has been reported by ‘Mundo Deportivo’, that Real Madrid defender Nacho Fernandez has refused a January move to Roma as he wishes to remain at his current club.
The 26 year old Spanish defender was contacted by Roma officials in an attempt to convince him to move the capital side in the January transfer market.
However, the giallorossi apparently received a resounding no from Nacho has he has ultimately decided to remain with Real Madrid despite his lack of playing time.
Being behind the likes of Ramos, Pepe, and Varane, a move to Roma would guarantee the Spaniard much more first team action on a club who is currently second in the Serie A table. With the injury to lead central defender Kostas Manolas it seems that Roma will have to look elsewhere if they desire to purchase another center back in the next transfer window.
