Reports from Italy claim that Real Madrid are back pedaling their advances for the France midfielder.

The directors from Real Madrid have been heavily interested in signing Pogba in the past, even to the point of making an offer to his agent Mino Raiola. There was supposed to be a meeting last week between Juventus and Real Madrid to clarify the futures of a few players like Pogba, Morata and Kovacic. However it appears that never came to fruition.

Following Pogba’s sub-par performance in the opener, Los Blancos are having doubts on the valuation placed by Juventus, according to SportMediaset.

Real Madrid are suddenly not willing to pay more than €100 million and Juventus are not coming down on their asking price. He’s simply too key to the project to win a Champions League for Juve.

Joining from Manchester United in 2012 for free, Pogba if sold, could become one of the biggest return investments in the history of modern day football.
