In order to convince head coach Massimiliano Allegri to stay, the management is expected to sign him another Rossonero.
Mattia De Sciglio arrived last summer from AC Milan to give Allegri another protegee. Next could be Giacomo Bonaventura from the same club.
According to Il Messaggero, Allegri asked for Bonaventura to reinforce the midfield and bring another attack-mided player to the side. With Claudio Marchisio looking like he may depart the club in the summer, it signals a change of direction from the traditional deep lying midfielders to a more forward thinking one.
Meanwhile, Bonaventura’s contract runs out in the summer of 2020 and Milan have no intention on letting him go cheaply. It’s believed his price tag is around €25-30 million.
The Bianconeri are also linked with Roma’s Lorenzo Pellegrini, where in the past they have already signed Miralem Pjanic and Wojciech Sczecsny in the last two season.
