The Partenopei head coach has been linked with several other clubs, including a move to one of the Premier League heavyweights this summer.
Reports last month indicated Maurizio Sarri and Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis were both willing to extend their relationship together. However, in order to avoid any distractions, Sarri said he would negotiate and sign a deal only during the international break.
A noble move for a coach who has invented the Italian version of Guardiola’s tiki-taka and has created the strongest Napoli in decades.
According to La Repubblica, the only thing remaining to be worked out is the financial details, but the coach has already given the go ahead to finish the deal quickly.
Related to the deal would be a larger transfer budget in order to reinforce the side to be able to compete on all fronts and continue to make Napoli a force in both Italy and Europe.
